In this time of extreme uncertainty, it is very hard for a lot of us that are a part of the Independent Music Industry (the freelancers, the DIY promoters, the contract workers, the merch people, tour managers, artist managers, etc.) to make ends meet.

at first, to a lot of us, it seemed like this would be another thing the media exaggerated and we would be back to work in a couple weeks, however that’s not the case. promoters currently have 2-3 months of canceled shows, touring people are looking at an empty spring and summer for the first time in their career, and managers & agents are unsure how to advise their artists to make money outside of streaming and merch.

All of that being said, it is my goal to bring as many of these people together to share knowledge as possible.

the imi digital music conference will take place online for the first time ever on April 2nd & april 3rd.
